Here’s a salad to throw together to go with BBQ chicken or burgers. It’s got so much flavour: sweet, sour, creamy and savoury.
I bought some interesting tomatoes (I think they are black zebra heirlooms) at the Georgetown Farmer’s market that I threw in to shake things up. For a handy site on identifying heirloom tomatoes, check out this blog at: http://gardentherapy.ca/heirloom-tomatoes/
- 12 – 15 grape tomatoes and optional heirloom tomatoes
- 3 medium sized bocconcini cheese balls, sliced
- 3 tbsp. fresh basil, thinly chopped
- balsamic glaze
Arrange these three items on a plate, and drizzle with a thick, sweet balsamic glaze*.
